Meet Paul Laursen
Endurance coach, scientist, and technologist helping athletes train smarter through data, innovation, and experience.
About
My journey as a sports scientist began not in a lab, but on a triathlon course. I was just 19 when I completed my first Ironman, and that passion for endurance sports has been with me ever since.
Through my years of competing—and later through my work as both a coach and professor in exercise physiology—I saw a real disconnect between the cutting-edge research and the training athletes were actually doing. It became my mission to bridge that gap.
As a professor and the author of over 200 peer-reviewed articles, my work is all about making complex science easy to understand and apply.

Athlete
I made my debut in endurance sports by completing my first Ironman triathlon at the age of 19.
Since then, my passion for the sport has only grown — I've now competed in a total of 17 Ironman events. , and I have no plans to stop.
